Alicia Solomon was born at Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, Texas, and grew up on Air Force bases from the Carolinas to California, the Philippines, and Australia. She attended Cherry Creek High School south of Denver, San Jose State University, the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, and holds a Master of Sacred Music from St. John Chrysostom Theological Seminary. Alicia has been living and singing in the Santa Fe area since 1984, with a 4 year hiatus to Santa Barbara during the 90’s. She studied many years with Maralin Niska, leading soprano with the Santa Fe Opera, New York City Opera, Metropolitan Opera, and premier operas and symphonies around the world. Alicia has appeared repeatedly with the Santa Fe Opera, Santa Fe Symphony, Santa Fe Concert Association, Chamber Music Festival, and Desert Chorale.
